Our mine in Genoa, Nebraska, two hours west of Omaha, is a state-of-the-art frac sand processing plant with an 80 million ton reserve accumulated over 75 years through a dredging operation from the Loup River. Our plant has the capacity to process 2 million tons of silica sand and 250,000 tons of our resin-coated products annually. The largest sand reserve of its kind in the country, it has an annual replenishment rate of approximately 2 million tons, which allows us to respond quickly to large orders.
Our Genoa plant is built on sustainable practices: run partially on hydroelectric power, efficiently serviced by unit trains, home to a clean reclamation project, and actively involved in the conservation of the endangered piping plover and least tern, we take our responsibility as Stewards of the Land seriously.
